On August 17 and 18, the Ordinary General Assembly of the American Chess Confederation was held at the GHL Hotel in Barranquilla, Colombia \/ Los d\u00edas 17 y 18 de Agosto pasado se realiz\u00f3 en dependencias del hotel GHL de la ciudad de Barranquilla, Colombia, la Asamblea General Ordinaria de la Confederaci\u00f3n de Ajedrez de Am\u00e9rica correspondiente al presente a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representatives of 36 of the 42 National Federations that are members of Fide America participated in this general assembly. \/ Participaron en esta asamblea general representantes de 36 de un total de 42 Federaciones Nacionales miembros de Fide Am\u00e9rica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The points addressed at this general meeting were the following: \/ Los puntos abordados en esta asamblea general fueron los siguientes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.- Presentation of the FIDE America Editorial Committee \/ Presentaci\u00f3n Comit\u00e9 Editorial FIDE Am\u00e9rica<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.- Treasury Accountability Report \/ Rendici\u00f3n de Tesorer\u00eda<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.- Budget 2025 \/ Presupuesto 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5.- Confirmation of FIDE America Events 2026 \/ Confirmaci\u00f3n de Eventos FIDE Am\u00e9rica 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6.- Designation of FIDE America Events 2027 \/ Designaci\u00f3n de Eventos FIDE Am\u00e9rica 2027<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7.- Modifications to the general regulations and FIDE America competitions (Effective from January 1, 2026) \/ Modificaciones reglamentos generales y competencias FIDE Am\u00e9rica ( Vigentes desde el 1 de Enero 2026 )<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting was attended by FIDE President Mr. Arkadi Dvorkovich<\/strong>, Executive Director Mr. Viktor Bologan<\/strong>, and Secretary General of the Asian Chess Association (ACF) Hisham Al-Taher.<\/strong> \/ La asamblea cont\u00f3 con la presencia del presidente de FIDE el Sr. Arkadi Dvorkovich<\/strong>, su director ejecutivo el Sr. Viktor Bologan <\/strong>y del secretario general de la Asociaci\u00f3n de Ajedrez de Asia (ACF) Hisham Al-Taher<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

The event was held in parallel with the start of the FIDE Under 16 World Olympiad, an event in which the entire assembly attended its inauguration as well as the start of the first round. \/ El evento se efectu\u00f3 en paralelo con el inicio de la Olimpiada Mundial FIDE Sub 16, instancia a la cual la asamblea en pleno asisti\u00f3 a su inauguraci\u00f3n as\u00ed como al inicio de la primera ronda<\/p>\n\n\n
