Invitation
The National Chess Federation of Honduras (FENAH) and the Chess Confederation of the Americas (CCA), are pleased to invite all Central American and Caribbean Federations to the "II Central American and Caribbean Youth School Chess Festival 2024", which will take place in the City of San Pedro Sula, Honduras from 29 November to 06 December 2024.
General Conditions
The event will be held in accordance with FIDE Laws and Regulations, the CEC’s Financial Regulations for events and the specific "II Central American and Caribbean Youth School Chess Festival 2024. The organization of the "II Festival of Chess School Central American and Caribbean Youth 2024" will be in charge of the Honduran Chess Federation (FENAH) in a work articulated with the Chess Confederation for America (CCA).
Participants And Categories
Each Federation may submit as many players as it wishes, without any restriction, who must pay their full registration, transfer, accommodation and meals. The accompanying persons must also pay their full travel, accommodation, food and credentials expenses, being registered at the event, both players and accompanying persons, by their respective Certification. Each participant must provide a guarantee from the federation to which he or she belongs. No player can be registered if he does not have the approval of his own federation or if he does not belong to a Central American and Caribbean Federation.
THE CATEGORIES
The tournament will be divided into twelve (12) categories. If one or more categories do not have enough participants, the organizers can merge two or more categories for the purpose of matching players:
- Category U7 Absolute: Born after 1 January 2017
- Category U7 Female: Born after 1 January 2017
- Category U 9 Absolute: Born after 1 January 2015
- Category U 9 Female: Born after 1 January 2015
- Category U11 Absolute: Born after 1 January 2013
- Category U11 Female: Born after 1 January 2013
- Category U13 Absolute: Born after 1 January 2011
- Category U13 Female: Born after 1 January 2011
- Category U15 Absolute: Born after 1 January 2009
- Category U15 Female: Born after 1 January 2009
- Category U17 Absolute: Born after 1 January 2007
- Category U17 Female: Born after 1 January 2007
