The Confederation of Chess for the Americas (CCA) and the Cuban Chess Federation are pleased to invite all federations from Central America and the Caribbean to the "Central American and Caribbean U-20 Absolute and Female Chess Championship 2025." This prestigious event will take place from May 11 to May 18, 2025, in the beautiful destination of Varadero, Cuba, renowned for its exceptional hospitality and stunning landscapes

General Conditions
The event will be held in accordance with FIDE Laws and Regulations, CCA Financial Regulations for events, and the specific regulations for the "Central American and Caribbean U-20 Absolute and Female Chess Championship 2025." The event will be organized by the Cuban Chess Federation (FCA) in collaboration with the Confederation of Chess for the Americas (CCA).
Paticipants
Cada Federación de Centroamérica y el Caribe podrá inscribir un (1) jugador oficial en cada categoría (absoluto y femenino).
Adicionalmente, cada federación tendrá la libertad de inscribir la cantidad de jugadores extraoficiales que desee, sin restricciones. Estos jugadores deberán cubrir por completo los gastos relacionados con su inscripción, traslado, alojamiento y alimentación. Los acompañantes también asumirán la responsabilidad total de sus gastos de traslado, alojamiento y alimentación. El registro tanto de jugadores como de acompañantes será gestionado exclusivamente por la federación correspondiente.
Each Central American and Caribbean Federation may register one (1) official player in each category (absolute and female). Additionally, each federation may register any number of additional players as they wish, without restrictions. These players must fully cover their registration, transportation, accommodation, and meal expenses. Accompanying persons must also cover all their own travel, accommodation, and meal expenses. The registration of both players and accompanying persons will be managed exclusively by the respective federation. All participants must have official approval from their respective Federation.Players without express authorization from their federation or who are not members of a Central American or Caribbean Federation will not be allowed to participate.
Categories
The tournament will be held in two categories: absolute and female. If one category does not have enough participants, the organizers may choose to merge them to ensure proper pairings. U-20 Absolute Category: Players born on or after January 1, 2005. U-20 Female Category: Players born on or after January 1, 2005. Playing Venue: Hotel Barceló Arenas Blancas, Varadero
