Capital Area Chess with the approval of the US Chess Federation, Confederation of Chess for America (CCA) and FIDE.
With over 360 players the 2024 North American Youth Championships will be held in Dulles, VA, inviting players and federations from North American countries (USA, Canada, and Mexico). The tournament features 12 sections (U18, U16, U14, U12, U10, U8) across Open and Girls categories with 9-Round Swiss format. Official Pairings program SwissManager will be used for Pairings. Pairing and Standings will be posted on chess-results.com. The time control for the event would be 90 minutes with an increment of 30 seconds per move starting from the 1st move.
Games from sections U18 thru U10 will be broadcasted.
