The Confederation of Chess for Americas acknowledges the announcement regarding the temporary transition of FIDE’s leadership.
We express our deepest appreciation to Arkady Dvorkovich for his decision to place the interest of the chess community and FIDE first during this challenging moment. Mr Dvorkovich has been a strong supporter and the driving force of chess development, and today’s decision reflects his continued commitment to the organisation he has helped build.
We extend our full support and best wishes to Interim President, Mr Viswanathan Anand, as he assumes his responsibilities in accordance with the FIDE Charter.
The CCA remains committed to working closely with the FIDE leadership, member federations and all stakeholders, to continue strengthening and promoting chess throughout the Americas and around the world.

La Confederación de Ajedrez de América reconoce el anuncio relativo a la transición temporal del liderazgo de la FIDE.
Expresamos nuestro más sincero agradecimiento a Arkady Dvorkovich por su decisión de anteponer los intereses de la comunidad ajedrecística y de la FIDE en estos momentos difíciles. El Sr. Dvorkovich ha sido un firme defensor e impulsor del desarrollo del ajedrez, y la decisión de hoy refleja su continuo compromiso con la organización que ha ayudado a construir.
Extendemos nuestro pleno apoyo y mejores deseos al Presidente interino, Sr. Viswanathan Anand, al asumir sus responsabilidades de conformidad con la Carta de la FIDE.
La CCA mantiene su compromiso de trabajar estrechamente con la dirección de la FIDE, las federaciones miembro ytodas las partes interesadas para seguir fortaleciendo y promoviendo el ajedrez en toda América y en el resto del mundo.
